Attched to this doc is my England XI. If Capello is smart, he will surprise everyone, change the shape AND the formation, using an attacking 4-3-3, with the players I have picked. This would get Rooney scoring again, instead of moaning about the "That's what loyal support is".

England has been very dissapointing so far. I chose them as possible champions, but I regret that choice now.

ResponderEliminarGK - Joe Hart: Yes, correct. He is a great kepper, but England players are frail when it comes to the world cup, which is why I went for the more experienced David James.
FORMATION: I think it's 4-3-2-1, Correct about Rooney playing better alone up front [for Man Utd.]. In my picture of 4-3-3, the shape can be adapted to 4-3-2-1 with Defoe and Crouch supporting strikers behind Rooney :)
I don't think having only 1 outfield striker with FIVE MIDFIELDERS will be good enough. They already have a problem not scoring enough goals.
Defoe is world class and needs to start the gsame. Crouch has scored 5 times more in HIS last 7 games for England, than Rooney has. So they are well needed from start. As the last few games proved, suddenly when the coach puts them on as substitutes, the game changes.
MF: Lampard and Gerrard don't play well together, becasue they have similar roles. This is widely known here and has been a problem for the last 10 years.
Defoe can be in the initial team, but perhaps he could be more dangerous when the opponent defense is tired...

Note:Eslovenia is a good defensive team.In the qualification phase they only allowed four goals
